KENTUCKY STILL NEEDS HELP.

July 28th of this year eastern Kentucky was devastated by flash flooding. 40 people lost their lives. 17,000+ people are still without adequate housing as winter approaches. Many are living in borrowed campers, RVs, and tents.

It’s been seven weeks. The initial shock has passed but the devastation remains. More than ever, these people need assistance.

I’m a born and raised Kentucky girl, and proud of it. I’m not from the affected area but I am a Kentuckian. In Kentucky, we help our neighbors. With this post, I’m hoping to raise awareness of the dire situation that remains in this area.

PLEASE consider donating!

Governor Beshear has established the Team Eastern Kentucky Flood Relief Fund to assist those impacted by the floods and the severe weather.

You can also donate to Aspire Appalachia. This is a nonprofit organization that is funded primarily by individual and corporate donors. They have worked nonstop to help the residents of the counties affected. I am not affiliated with this organization but have been following their announcements and posts on social media for the last several weeks.

For copyright reasons, I am not adding photos to this post. I am adding links that show the devastation.
